Learn Spanish part-time while working or studying in Barcelona
Our part-time Spanish courses in Barcelona are designed to help students who have other commitments: like working or studying. The courses are less-intensive than others available at Speakeasy BCN, but help you make consistent progress.
Above, you can see the currently available part-time Spanish courses at our school: the Semi-intensive 10h Course and the Evening 4h Course.
The Semi-intensive 10h Course offers daily classes, either from 13:30 – 15:30 or 17:30 – 19:30. At this pace, you should complete one of our language levels every 4 weeks. The Evening 4h Course meanwhile is even less demanding, with just two 2-hour classes per week from 18:00-20:00. At this pace, you should complete one of our language levels every 8 weeks.

We introduced part-time Spanish courses because not everyone has time for our 20h or 30h-per week courses. Nevertheless, youll still get to learn from our native Spanish-speaking teachers and our unique immersion method of teaching – at Speakeasy BCN classes are delivered 100% in Spanish even when asking questions.
Spanish classes at Speakeasy BCN are also small (maximum 8-13 students) so you never feel left behind. We’ve developed our own ‘mini levels’ between each stage of the CEFR framework, and we assess your Spanish and place you among students of the exact same ability.

Small classes
Speakeasy BCN has a policy of small classes, allowing only 8-12 students per class and a maximum of 13. This means your questions will always be heard, and you’ll never feel left behind.

Rolling admissions
We welcome hundreds of students throughout the year and understand that each person has their own timeline and potential visa limitations. To help as many students as possible, our Spanish courses have rolling admissions with flexible start dates.

Official exam center
Speakeasy BCN is an official examination center for DELE and SIELE. Taking an exam is optional. But if you want, we offer the preparation you need to get internationally recognized qualifications.

Speakeasy BCN is located on the edge of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. This means you’ll be within a few minutes’ walk of Barcelona’s top cultural sites and the world-famous La Rambla boulevard.

Every week, Speakeasy BCN prepares group activities that all students can attend. You’ll get to meet new people and explore more of Barcelona city and the surrounding Catalonia region.
Our semi-intensive Spanish courses are ideal for students looking to blend Spanish learning with part-time work or study.
I’ve been at Speakeasy for two weeks doing the semi-intensive program (10h/week) and I’ve loved my experience. It was such a welcoming place from the second I walked in. (I would, no exaggeration, die for my teacher, Joan, who is so wonderful and cares about making sure we understand the material.) The weekly field trips, with bimonthly ones outside of the city, have made it so easy to make friends in a place I just moved to. The team was also very responsive when I was emailing months ago with questions. Would happily recommend Speakeasy to anyone looking to learn Spanish and meet new people in Barcelona!
