Highlights from when a group of Speakeasy BCN students joined a day trip visiting the two Catalan medieval villages of Siurana and Montblanc.
If you venture inland from most major European cities like Barcelona you'll find magical towns and villages dating back to the medieval era.
Siurana and Montblanc are two stunning examples.
In November 2024, Speakeasy BCN students set off to explore these amazing villages with the help of Barcelife. The trip was filled with breathtaking views, historical wonders and delicious treats.
Why we love day trips with Barcelife
The day started at the amazing viewpoint over the Montsant mountain range from the medieval enclave of Siurana.
You really can't put the scenery into words (see below!)
The students had a guided tour through Siurana to discover its myths and legends and history.
Later on we drove deep into the countryside to visit Montblanc. We wandered down winding, narrow streets and admired the beautiful stone houses and medieval castle.
We savored traditional pastries and chocolates.
We love doing these trips with Barcelife because it helps Speakeasy BCN students explore hidden places outside of Barcelona while studying at our school. Many students are in Europe for the first time – and these are the kinds of experiences they'll remember for years to come!
