After nearly 3 months of offering Spanish classes strictly online, we’re happy to announce that Speakeasy Barcelona will be reopening its doors on July 6th! The transition from fully virtual classes to a gradual reintegration of in-person classes will begin on this date. It is not without the continued support of our students and staff that this would be possible.
How are we considering your safety?
The health and safety of our students and staff is our prime concern as we begin our return to in-person classes. We are in the process of preparing the school to ensure the highest standard of safety measures. These steps include:
Staggering arrival and break times for students
Reducing the number of students in each classroom
Frequent disinfection of classrooms, bathrooms and common areas
Use of protective screens, disinfecting hand gels and soaps
Use of personal protective equipment, such as masks or visors
In-person classes will be available beginning July 6th because we are confident in our ability to provide a safe learning environment.
How will your current classes be affected?
Your Spanish course at Speakeasy Barcelona will continue based on your preference. Whether you choose to continue your online education or if you prefer to return to in-person classes, your course will not be affected. The reintegration of face to face classes will happen based on student demand.
After quickly and successfully transitioning all of our classes into fully virtual classrooms at the end of March due to the unprecedented global situation, we discovered that online classrooms worked very well (if not just as well as in-person classes). We also saw that there was a high interest in virtual learning and therefore we will continue to offer it as an option for our students, now as well as in the future.
