    At the beginning of March, one of the most beautiful spectacles in the region takes place in Aitona, the flowering of the trees. Aitona attracts nearly 20,000 visitors annually to witness the flowers in bloom. It’s a paradise for flower, nature, and photography lovers. During the visit to Aitona, you will have two options:

    Option 1 (basic package) – Free time to explore the sea of pink of the tree blossoms on foot.

    Option 2 (complete package) – A guided tour of almost three hours that will take us into private farms to see the flowering process up close. Afterwards, we’ll visit Lleida, one of the oldest cities in Catalonia and the capital of the Segriá region.

    We are going on a day trip to visit two unique locations in Catalunya on Saturday, the 25th. Firstly, we will explore charming Girona, a town with more than two thousand years of history. After lunch, we will drive to the most beautiful medieval town in the region - Besalú. We will see a well-preserved spectacular Romanesque bridge, the church of Sant Pere and the house of Cornellà, and its Jewish quarter.

    This Thursday, we will visit one of the greatest examples of Catalan modernism - Casa Amatller. The building was originally constructed in 1875, then redesigned as a residence for wealthy chocolatier and archaeological enthusiast Antoni Amatller between 1898 and 1900.

    The continuous ownership by the Amatller family means that the house's interior of 1900 has remained largely preserved intact to the present day. We will visit the historic home's museum and after, enjoy some chocolate from this family in the café inside the house.

    On Saturday, the 10th of December, we will visit one of the most famous medieval markets in Catalonia, in the old town of Vic. Every year, they recreate the atmosphere of a medieval town with music, dance, shows, and different times of local craft workshops. We will enjoy the historical part of the town, and explore taverns and typical freshly made cakes and bread, grilled ham and sausage, and maybe will find some spectacular presents for our family and friends.
