Barcelona’s famous summer street parties are starting this week with the Festa Major of the Poble Sec district. This Wednesday, we are going to join the locals and check it out! We will enjoy the free events ‘al aire libre’, street bars and food and the concert of a local band, The Mudkickers.

We will visit one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Catalonia, and after that, we will go to a small bay on the Costa Brava - Aiguablava, famous for its crystal turquoise water, and sandy beach surrounded by green mountains.

This Wednesday, we are going to enjoy a paddle surf (SUP) class with a view of the W hotel and Barceloneta beach. Don't worry if you've never done it before, no prior knowledge is required! Join us for one of the most popular summertime activities, and enjoy a unique experience together with your Speakeasy classmates.

We'll have a swim in Barcelona's most iconic public swimming pool, located on Montjuic.This pool has a significant role in the history of the city. Originally built for the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition, it became a high-level competition space once again, when the World Aquatics Championships were held in Barcelona. It is open to the public.

This Wednesday, we are going to watch the sunset with a birds-eye view of Barcelona at the infamous Bunkers del Carmel. This place was an essential location in Barcelona’s defense system during the Spanish Civil War. Today, it is a popular spot to enjoy a unique 360 degree panoramic view of the city.

We will visit one of the most charming villages of Costa Brava - Calella de la Palafrugell. We will enjoy the atmosphere of old fishermen's houses with colorful shutters, alleys that join the sea to the picturesque town, arches that frame rocky islands sprinkled in the blue water, quaint beaches and quiet coves under red cliffs and intense green pine trees. Calella de Palafrugell is the essence of the Mediterranean to say the least!

This Wednesday, we are going to have a picnic in an alluring garden - the Parc de Cervantes. We will explore the garden paths and find a comfortable spot for a picnic "al aire libre". Meet and mingle with your classmates, practice your Spanish outside the classroom and enjoy the sun, music and drinks!

This Thursday, we are going to enjoy a walking tour in the magnetic spot of Barcelona - Arc de Triomf. This time only, it will be completely free for our students! We will visit the triumphal arch, built for the 1888 Barcelona World Fair, explore Cuitadella park and learn the history of these locations. We will finish our tour in the local bar, where we will enjoy a glass of cava.

We are going to visit the city’s tallest peak, Mount Tibidabo, crowned by the cathedral del Sagrat Cor. In this spectacular location, it can be seen from all over the city. We will use the funicular to go up the mountain, visit the cathedral, climb-up to the viewing platform just below the Jesus Christ bronze statue, and enjoy exceptional views of the city.

We will have a day trip to the ancient Tarraco (Tarragona), one of the oldest cities in Catalonia, founded 1800 years ago by the emperor Gnaeus Scipio. Today it is one of the best preserved Roman cities in Spain. On the way to Tarragona, we will stop by Devil’s Bridge, part of the Roman aqueduct built to supply water to the ancient city of Tarragona.

This Wednesday, we are going to have a picnic on a very beautiful garden on Montjuïc's heel - Jardins de Mossèn Cinto Verdaguer. Meet and mingle with your classmates, practice your Spanish outside the classroom and enjoy the sun, music, drinks, and games! Feel free to bring snacks and drinks!

We are going to visit one of the favorite spots for all sea fauna fans - the Barcelona Aquarium. The Barcelona Aquarium is the biggest in Europe. Each tank of the marine aquarium simulates a different sea region, such as the tropical and Mediterranean tanks.

We will visit one of the charming villages of Costa Brava and favourite city of acclaimed artist Salvador Dali - Cadaques. We’re going to enjoy its beaches, white streets full of flowers and small shops.

This Wednesday we are going to visit the museum of modern art of famous Catalan artist - Joan Miró. The museum holds by far the largest collection of Joan Miró's works today - over 10.000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, stage designs and tapestries.

This Friday, we will get lost in one of the most noteworthy gardens in Barcelona - the Gardens of Mossèn Costa i Llobera on the Montjuïc mountain. Join us to explore this unusual Barcelona spot and mingle with your Speakeasy friends.

We are going to the cinema to watch a new jewel of the Marvel universe – The Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness. This is a long-awaited sequel to the adventures of Stephen Strange, performed by talented Benedict Cumberbatch. It will be shown in English (original language) with subtitles in Spanish. This is an excellent way to learn new words in Spanish.

We will visit the exhibition of the renowned street artist, Banksy - The Art of Protest. This is a major international show featuring original artworks from private collections by the controversial British artist, whose identity remains a mystery. Join us to explore an immersive multimedia installation created especially for the show.

This Wednesday, we are going to have a picnic at one of the most beautiful parks in Barcelona enjoyed by both locals and visitors, Parc de la Ciutadella. Meet and mingle with your classmates, practice your Spanish outside the classroom and enjoy sun, music, drinks, and games! Feel free to bring snacks and drinks!

On Saturday, we are making a day trip to visit a fascinating town on Costa Brava - Tossa de Mar. We will take a private bus in the morning and return in the evening. During the excursion, we will have a Spanish-speaking guide. We will explore the town, enjoy the Spanish springtime and maybe even take a dip in the Mediterranean Sea!

This Thursday, we will visit one of the greatest examples of Catalan modernism - Casa Amatller. The building was originally constructed in 1875, then redesigned as a residence for wealthy chocolatier and archaeological enthusiast Antoni Amatller between 1898 and 1900. We will visit the historic home's museum and after, enjoy some chocolate from this family in the café inside the house.

This Thursday, we will join a popular rooftop party in the city to experience the summer atmosphere in Barcelona.We will enjoy wonderful views of the city, talented local DJ's, nice tapas and drinks and much more. Join us to celebrate the arrival of summer and with your Speakeasy classmates!

This Thursday, we will explore the legendary Barcelona spot where both locals and tourists share the same admiration - Parc Güell. This park is a stunning attraction that stands as a testament to the artistic and creative genius of Antoni Gaudi. We will visit the sprawling park and garden located on Carmel Hill and enjoy the aesthetic of Trencadis mosaic and gingerbread houses. And of course, get excited by the beautiful view of Barcelona from the top.

We will take part in a creative masterclass in which you will make your own ceramic piece! A teacher will guide you at all times so that you learn to apply all the necessary techniques to your work of art. The activity is designed for everyone, so even if you don't have any experience, you will make a mug, plate, or bowl come out with a unique piece! And of course, we will have some drinks, chat and have fun!
