This Thursday, we will visit one of the greatest examples of Catalan modernism - Casa Amatller. The building was originally constructed in 1875, then redesigned as a residence for wealthy chocolatier and archaeological enthusiast Antoni Amatller between 1898 and 1900.

The continuous ownership by the Amatller family means that the house's interior of 1900 has remained largely preserved intact to the present day. We will visit the historic home's museum and after, enjoy some chocolate from this family in the café inside the house.

This Wednesday, we are entering the world of Banksy, the master of street art.
Without losing his anonymity, this amazing artist has been able to impact the world with his mural works with powerful social messages.

Join us to immerse in this collection of over 100 pieces to discover clues about this mysterious artist, highlighting his most important pieces and framing his extraordinary and often controversial career.

On Thursday we are going to visit Montjuic's hidden treasure, its castle and the botanical garden. This impressive monument, during many centuries, has been used for multiple purposes, from a trading center to a prison.

Join us to learn more about the history of the castle and enjoy the excellent views of Barcelona, the mountains and the sea below.

This Wednesday, we are going to try the greatest Spanish apéritif - vermút rojo. It is common for Spanish people to have a glass of vermut before a big meal - they say it helps prepare the appetite and aid in digestion.Join us to drink vermút like locals, enjoy tapas, and the company of your classmates!

After the Christmas and New Year celebration, in Spain, the party continues as we receive the "Tres Reyes Magos" who bring nice presents for the well-behaved and coal for the bad.

Every year, on the 5th of January, it is a tradition to welcome the Tres Reyes Magos in a parade that goes across the city with their little helpers who put on a spectacular show. These generous men will be bringing candies and presents! (only if you were nice)

Join us to collect candies and celebrate this very Spanish tradition.

Next Wednesday, we will visit one of the most unique Christmas fairs in Barcelona, located next to the sea.

Its main attraction being a huge ferris wheel next to the port, from which you will be able to see the beautiful night view of the city. The fair is filled with different stands, offering Christmas decoration, hand made objects, food, drinks, activities and joy!

We are going to visit the oldest and most well-known Christmas fair in the city- Santa Llùcia. This market has been held since 1786 next to Barcelona’s Cathedral. It's a nice opportunity to be inspired by Barcelona's Christmas atmosphere with your Speakeasy classmates, buy presents (if you still haven't!), and gawk at the biggest collection of "caganers" - the famous pooping Catalan boy.

This Wednesday, we will enjoy the best holiday activity - Ice skating (yes, you can do this in Barcelona!) Join us to get into the holiday spirit and mingle with your lovely Speakeasy classmates! The price includes two 25 minute sessions and includes skate rental. Please, don't forget your gloves, it can get cold!

On Saturday, the 10th of December, we will visit one of the most famous medieval markets in Catalonia, in the old town of Vic. Every year, they recreate the atmosphere of a medieval town with music, dance, shows, and different times of local craft workshops. We will enjoy the historical part of the town, and explore taverns and typical freshly made cakes and bread, grilled ham and sausage, and maybe will find some spectacular presents for our family and friends.

On Thursday, 1st of December, we are going to join an immersive cocktail show in the heart of Eixample district of Barcelona - the Alquimia cocktail bar. We will have an experience from another world that combines the mysticism of short tarot readings or the lines of your hands, with the magic of the most delicious signature cocktails, inspired by astrology and the chemistry of gastronomy.

We are going to visit the spectacular Christmas light show of the year on Thursday evening.

During Christmastime, a million lights illuminate the night and immerse the world-renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site into a magical scene. Join us to experience this journey and let yourself be enchanted by Christmassy splendor and Els Llums de Sant Pau.

We will visit the Wold Press Exposition, an exhibition that brings together the winning photographs and multimedia productions in the World Press Photo 2022 contest.

Join us to see the most impressive and impacting photographs of the year, chosen for their visual quality and diverse viewpoints on current events.

This Saturday, we will explore Gaudi’s best-kept treasure located on the outskirts of Barcelona - Colonia Guell. We will visit Gaudí's Crypt, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2005, and other locations of Guell´s colony to dive deeper into the history of Barcelona.

This Thursday, we will have dinner at the first smart restaurant in Barcelona, where the tables are interactive, and we can play video games while waiting for the food!

Join us to meet other Speakeasy students and have a completely new dining experience!

We will take part in a creative masterclass in which you will make your own ceramic piece! A teacher will guide you at all times so that you learn to apply all the necessary techniques to your work of art. The activity is designed for everyone, so even if you don't have any experience, you will make a mug, plate, or bowl and leave with a unique piece! And of course, we will chat and have fun!

On Wednesday, we will visit Poble Espanyol, a unique space that encompasses 117 buildings that replicate constructions of all the diverse regions in Spain. It is also a great spot to shop and try local cuisine.

Next Saturday, the 5th of November, we are making a day trip to visit one of the most famous cities in the south of France. We will take a private bus in the morning and return in the evening.

Situated on a hilltop in the Languedoc area of ​​southern France, it is famous for its medieval citadel, La Cité, with several watchtowers and rampart fortifications. Join us to explore the iconic 12th-century Châteay Comtal, Roman walls and much more.

Pintxos - the Basque version of tapas. Carrer Blai in Poble Sec is a little pedestrian street lined with bars serving tasty pintxos and beer. The idea is to hop from place to place, sampling different ones to find your favorite. Join us this Thursday to mingle with your Speakeasy classmates and enjoy genuine Basque cuisine together.

We will take part in a creative workshop where you will paint your own Christmas mug!

You will get to choose a mug that you can paint in any style. A teacher will help you with technique and bring your idea into reality. It’s a fantastic opportunity to share the Christmas atmosphere with your Speakeasy classmates.

Embark on a journey to the underworld as you wander the streets of the Gothic Quarter learning all the horrible and gruesome stories of the city!

This Thursday, we will get into the Halloween spirit and take a walking tour in the city center to discover the horrifying truths of Barcelona's past. Experience 1.5 hours of spine-chilling stories as you venture into the city's dark and sorted past.

This Wednesday, we will dive into an immersive journey through the mind of one of the foremost artists of the world - Salvador Dalí.

This exhibit is not only a retrospective of the works of the Catalan genius, we will explore his most recognized paintings from a totally new and interactive perspective with large format projections, holograms and artificial intelligence.

If you are a fan of rollercoasters, this trip is definitely for you! This Saturday, the 22nd October, we are going to one of the best amusement parks in Europe - Port Aventura World.

The park has a variety of exciting rides, shows, restaurants, etc., in short - it is a fantastic experience! What is more - now that it's Halloween season, everything in the park will be Halloween themed!

Are you just feeling social and want to get to know some of the faces you study with and practice your Spanish?

This Thursday, we are having a language exchange meeting at a bar just across the street from Speakeasy.

Meet and mingle with your classmates and practice your Spanish outside the classroom!

On Thursday, we will take a part of the main event of the month - Oktoberfest! Yes, it's popular not only in Germany, Spanish people are big fans of ale as well.

Join us at Oktoberfest Barcelona to enjoy great beer, the best Bavarian cuisine, live music, and of course mingling with Speakeasy Students outside the class.
